Hands off Africa
This website is about hunting in Africa.
For some Europeans it is a simple question of morality. They believe that the killing of any of Africa's magnificent beasts can never be justified. Nature may hunt nature, but humans must not.
Others in Africa question the right of those who do not suffer the challenges of living with deadly animals to make ethical decrees. They see it as a decision for Africa, a matter of sovereignty, even racism.
Then there are the pragmatists. They ask what objective, scientific data says about the impact of hunting revenues on the species. For better. Or worse. Is the killing by the hunters outweighed by the benefit of dedicated reserves with their protection from poaching?
